  1. My brother and sister-in-law enjoyed their tour with Katerina so much, that they arranged for private lectures with her after they arrived back home. They put together a small class to learn about Kafka, the social environment for Jews of Central Europe at that time, and finally a sense of the architecture within Prague. We joined that class and found Katerina to be an amazing teacher. She is open to questions, imparts her knowledge in a fashion that keeps your attention and really cares about feedback and ensuring that her students understand the points covered.

  2. Katarina was a great ambassador for Prague. While extremely knowledgeable, organized, and prepared, she easily adapted to a somewhat more unstructured, informal approach to respond to our questions and preferences including, for example, growing up in Prague, what life is like in Prague today for various age groups, etc. Passionate about her subject matter, Katarina is also a very effective communicator who understands the importance and value of ‘visuals’ to make her message memorable.

  3. Our family just returned from Prague and spent an incredible day with Katerina, who infused our exploration of her beautiful city with an outstanding combination of historical, social and cultural insight. She is a pleasure to work with, and the resulting experience is unforgettable. Thank you Katerina for helping make Prague come to life for us!

  5. Perfect

I have been to Prague two times in my life, and I owe my return and my love for Prague in part to Katerina. Although the beauty and splendor of the city is obvious even without a tour guide, Katerina has an astounding ability to bring history to the foreground and make a complex and deep past understandable and even relatable. I was honored to be able to take part in multiple tours with Katerina. I haven’t since met anyone with a similar skill set, as she knows pretty much everything there is to know about Prague art, history, architecture, and culture. I would highly suggest using Katerina as a tour guide, no matter what!

  6. In June of 2012 my wife and I had an opportunity to spend 5 days in Prague (she had been there before but I hadn’t). She found Katerina’s site and e-mailed her with our interests–see the old town, the new town, the Jewish quarter, the castle, Pilsn, and other areas in which she thought we’d be interested. We also wanted to get off the beaten path. We wanted to see the sights, get a feel for the history, and try to get a feel for the people of the area. Katerina put together an outstanding program. Katerina is a wonderful person with whom we very much enjoyed spending time (we hope her son likes the bow and arrow!). She also was incredibly knowledgeable and tireless in leading us. Among other things, Barb had seen a buiding with some interesting sculpture on it. Katerina knew about it and told us about its history. She also took us inside and showed us where the duke (?) had held audiences on the grand staircase. All together we spent three full days with Katerina and enjoyed every second of the time. We would highly recommend her for anyone who knows what they want and would enjoy a private tour. We would also strongly recommend Katerina for anyone interested in Prague’s history, art, and architecture.

  7. The best way for a family to experience Prague

We had an incredible experience over two days with two different guides. Both of the guides were prompt, highly engaging and wonderfully attentive to what we were looking to get from our tour. In particular, Katerina (whom we spent a full day with) was terrific. Our 9 person group ranged from 13 to 50 in age and Katerina lead us on a walking expedition of Prague, Prague Castle, through incredible gardens, and stopping off at real local eateries. I would highly recommend Katerina in particular to anyone looking to get a great understanding for the history and culture of this wonderful city.

  9. Friendly and knowledgable guide!

My friend and I booked two 3-hour tours and it was well worth the money spent. Our guide, Katerina was wonderful. She provided us with restaurant tips, brought us to little alleys away from crowds, and helped to open our eyes to the magic and beauty of Prague. Enjoyed the tours!

  10. “Best decision! Great info on Prague”

Katerina was marvellous on our 4 hour tour of the Old Town. She gave us truly valuable tips on cafes and vegetarian restaraunts that were favoured by the locals so consequently were cheap, delicious, atmospheric and away from the overwhelming tourist cacaphony! Her knowledge of art and architecture is extensive and she was priceless to have with us when visiting the Jewish Quarter! She gave us easy o follow directions for using the Metro and Trams, so that we were able to venture into other precincts of Prage. ( do a morning trip out to the Dox Gallery and the National Gallerys 20 th Century Art Collection nearby)
I am delighted we booked our personalised tour with Katerina , who, besides being learned, is delightful company, patient and respectful of others, plus has a lovely sense of humour. We learnt so much more than any generalised tour or guidebook could offer and I highly recommend this wonderful service to anyone travelling in Prague.

  11. Dear Katerina,

P.S. I will also write a good review on Trip Advisor.

  12. Hello Katerina, I’m Alex and I took a tour with you in Prague back in March, hope you remember me 🙂

I just want to thank you for what was a great time in Praha!, it was one of my best traveling experiences considering the short time I had to see the city and of course your company and knowledge!

    Regards,

    Alex

  13. Katerina,

I wanted to take a moment and tell you what wonderful memories you made for me. Starting with our wonderful trip up the hill and then seeing the original statues of the Charles Bridge. I showed the pictures to my husband and he could not believe what we saw. I told him it is even more unbelievable when you see it in person. And, how wonderful was it that I was able to find the book of Czech fairytales by the author you described to me. It was a perfect start to my Prague adventure.

There are no words to tell you how wonderful our Café and Literary Tour was. I feel as if I could really see the writers sitting in the cafes. Your readings of their work were inspiring, moving and insightful. You are very talented and a wonderful companion.

I will remember our tours always and hope to see you again.

    Best,
    Sharon Knitter
