I’m PhDr. Katerina Prusova, Ph.D.,
an independent scholar & tour guide
who loves art & history.
I am a licensed tour guide of Prague and of the Jewish Museum in Prague since 2011.
I hold a Ph.D. (since 2016), PhDr. and Mgr. (since 2008) in Art History from the Philosophical Faculty (Faculty of Arts and Letters) of the Charles University in Prague.
I have been a lecturer at the National Gallery in Prague since 2009 and at the Gallery of the City of Prague since 2010. I have been training the official guides of Prague at the Prague Information Service since 2012.
I have been lecturing at the Anglo-American University and the Charles University in Prague since 2009. Beginning in 2025, I also joined the faculty of New York University. I taught classes in History of Art, Prague Art and Architecture, Jewish Studies, Alternative Culture, Central European History, and in Central European Cities: Prague, Cracow, Budapest.
In frame of my university studies of Art History I studied at the Bibliotheque Nationale de France in Paris, at the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier in France and at Universita per Stranieri in Perugia in Italy. Besides English and Czech I am fluent in French and Italian.

Konečně jsem se dostala k tomu, abych Vám jménem nás obou ještě jednou poděkovala za výjimečný zážitek z minulé soboty-prohlídka Malé Strany. Objevili jsme toho spoustu, mnohokrát jsme v minulosti prošli místa, která jsme společně s Vámi navštívili ale detaily a souvislosti, na které jste nás upozornila, jsme nebyli schopni vidět. Objevili jsme nový svět a získali znalosti, které nám při našem technickém vzdělání chybí.
Velice obdivujeme Vaše až encyklopedické znalosti a zaujetí pro věc, které pouhý výklad povyšuje na strhující románové vyprávění.
Přejeme Vám do další pracovní činnosti i osobního života všechno nejlepší a doufáme, že brzy najdeme příležitost vidět se s Vámi opět.
